The Different Types Of Tiaras

When browsing through all the photos of the different wedding hairstyles available to the bride, it can be a bit overpowering. There are so many different ways that brides can wear their hair for the big day. Long flowing hair cascading down your back, a fancy up do, or a wedding hairstyle that is halfway up or just full of curls, the possibilities are endless. One popular accessory to the different wedding hairstyles that brides look through are bridal tiaras. People are seeing them more and more with the different weddings styles. There are all different types of bridal tiaras from which to choose, and you need consider several options when choosing the right bridal tiara for you.

You can find a headband or a double headband which can be used to keep hair away from face while accentuates up swept hairstyle as well, it can be worn flat on the head or wrapped around a bun as well as tilted forward. There is also comb style which will be simpler than the other ones. The other ones are Bun ring, Back piece and V band.  Here are the different types of Tiara’s most common by names or referred to as.

Princess Tiaras-This is the type of headpiece that you usually see on brides. As the term implies, this tiara looks like the one that is worn on the head of a princess.
Headband- This looks similar to a regular headband in terms of shape, however, it is embellished with different rhinestones that make it sparkly like a princess tiara. It does the purpose of keeping hair away from the bride’s face.

The double headband consists of two headbands joined together at the ends. This type of bridal tiara is seen as the most flexible of all the types as it can used like a princess headpiece or a headband on top of the head or as an accessory for a bun hairstyle.

V-bands. These are seen as the most restricting as they are only suitable to a specific type of face. As compared to other types of tiaras and crowns, these are placed on the forehead, accentuating the face more. This type of bridal tiara is most suitable for individuals with longer faces.

Bun Ring- bun rings and back pieces are both worn on the back and are commonly used with bun hairstyles. The difference is a bun ring is used with an up do while back pieces are for lower buns or hairstyles using a French twist. Usually, a bun ring is more elaborate while back pieces highlight the hairstyle but does not draw all of the attention towards the piece.
Back piece– Back pieces are tiaras worn at the back of the head, usually to accentuate a low bun or a French twist.

Comb- A tiara comb is a type of wedding tiara which can be attached to the hair with a comb. There are different types of wedding tiaras that are used to complement different hairstyles it looks like a comb but has the studs of rhinestones all around.

You should have some kind of idea what kind of wedding hairstyle you’d like to have when shopping for your bridal tiara. You don’t need to know exactly what wedding hairstyle you’re going to have, but just some idea.

If you know that you want your hair down and wavy, then when you try the different bridal tiaras be sure to leave your hair down. If you know that you want your hair completely up, then when trying on the different bridal tiaras bring a clip and put your hair up with it to see what it would look like. With the variety of different headpieces or tiaras available you should have an enjoyable and fun experience trying on all the fun pieces and how beautiful they look when tried on.
