A lot of brides favor wearing a tiara on their wedding day because it may be the only time they will ever get to look as princess-y as they can get in their entire life. Of course, nothing screams “princess” louder than a tiara, and many brides still relish the look that the late Diana, Princess of Wales had as a bride wearing the Spencer family tiara. Tiaras help in settling the veil in a proper place and providing a romantic as well as mysterious essence to the marriage ceremony. Tiaras contribute a sense of luxury and elegance to the proceedings, hence making them extremely popular at weddings.

But then again, the same brides who want to wear tiaras are just as skeptical as they are eager about wearing one. They often ask themselves whether they should wear a tiara or how they can wear a tiara without looking overdressed for their own wedding. Any bride can wear a tiara if they want. It is just a matter of getting the right tiara that suits them the most.

Bridal tiaras have come and gone in popularity over the years. Once reserved for royalty, the tiara is now an accessory that brides from all backgrounds, cultures, and economic standing choose to wear on their very special day. There’s just something magical, elegant, and sophisticated about placing a crown of sparkling jewels on your head on your wedding day. It is the symbol of beauty and refinement and makes every girl who ever dreamed of their perfect wedding day feel like a fairytale princess. While many brides choose to forego wearing bridal tiaras, their rich history and air of sophistication will always come back around again ever few years.

The wedding tiara is associated as being the most recognisable piece of jewelry. Wedding tiaras have been long considered a common choice in the brides choice of decoration, although some brides choose not to wear a wedding tiara. Why women love wearing tiaras? Since they sit on your head like a crown. And you feel yourself a princess or so to attract admiration of others. Nowadays tiaras for brides are made from light material and you can have them in a range of assortment. Wedding tiaras identify love, hope, glamour and style and all of a certain any girl see herself as a princess with such a tiara on her head.

When you pass along the aisle, you want to feel and look like a princess not actually a bride and your diadem should be graceful and the most surprising for other to admire. Just bear in mind that tiara on your head should overshadow you overall look. Yet, your tiara should be the final finishing for your veil drawing attention to your hairstyle, framing your face and suiting your wedding dress instead. If it is too big it will spoil your hairstyle and thus you should consider everything when buying your tiara.

Lady Diana captivated the heart of the world when she appeared on her wedding day from a storybook carriage draped in flowing ivory silk and crowned by the fanciful Spencer family’s heirloom diamond tiara. At their weddings british brides traditionally wear “something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue” The Spencer Tiara was the “something borrowed” that the late Lady Diana Spencer wore at her wedding to Prince Charles, Prince of Wales, in 1981.
On her wedding day, the stunning tiara was worn as an accessory, surrounded by the glamorous veil. When worn in as an official heirloom it was a symbol of her status, the tiara was much more noticeable.

This tiara was actually a wedding gift from Queen Elizabeth II to Princess Diana. The Queen had inherited it from her grandmother, Queen Mary. Presumably, the tiara was promised to Prince William, knowing that his future wife would one day be Queen.

Enhanced in gold in the form of scrolling tulips and star shaped flowers, it is decorated with delicate diamonds in silver settings. It has been reported that this tiara is a family heirloom from the eighteenth century, but this is a misconception. Instead, it is a composite of several elements. Of the entire tiara, only two elements at the end are old, and are said to have come from a tiara owned by Frances, Viscountess Montagu and left to Lady Sarah Spencer in 1875. The central element was a wedding gift from Lady Sarah Spencer to Cynthia, Viscountess Althorp (Diana’s grandmother) in 1919. In the 20th century, it was redesigned and four other elements were made to match it.

The Spencer family tiara which legend has it traces back to Marie Antoinette.
It is thought that it was made in 1767 but the style would suggest a time around the 1830′s.
In historic tradition a family heirloom like this was held within the family and passed on to the next generation via the wife of the eldest son. Diana often wore the tiara for meetings with heads of state. Along with Diana, some of the other brides to wear it on their wedding day include Diana’s sister Lady Jane Fellowes in 1978, and Victoria Lockwood, the first wife of her brother Charles Spencer, in 1989.

The Spencer Tiara is unique and there are many replicas available on the market it is about 2”inches tall set in sterling silver or gold with genuine diamonds or Swarovski Austrian crystals. Also popular for brides, princesses, costumes, mothers day, gifts or for special occasions.

The tiara is on display, along with the Princess’ wedding gown and other items in the exhibition “Diana a Celebration.” Between July 1st and August 31 of each year, the exhibition is
open at Althorp.

When browsing through all the photos of the different wedding hairstyles available to the bride, it can be a bit overpowering. There are so many different ways that brides can wear their hair for the big day. Long flowing hair cascading down your back, a fancy up do, or a wedding hairstyle that is halfway up or just full of curls, the possibilities are endless. One popular accessory to the different wedding hairstyles that brides look through are bridal tiaras. People are seeing them more and more with the different weddings styles. There are all different types of bridal tiaras from which to choose, and you need consider several options when choosing the right bridal tiara for you.

You can find a headband or a double headband which can be used to keep hair away from face while accentuates up swept hairstyle as well, it can be worn flat on the head or wrapped around a bun as well as tilted forward. There is also comb style which will be simpler than the other ones. The other ones are Bun ring, Back piece and V band. Here are the different types of Tiara’s most common by names or referred to as.

Princess Tiaras-This is the type of headpiece that you usually see on brides. As the term implies, this tiara looks like the one that is worn on the head of a princess.
Headband- This looks similar to a regular headband in terms of shape, however, it is embellished with different rhinestones that make it sparkly like a princess tiara. It does the purpose of keeping hair away from the bride’s face.

The double headband consists of two headbands joined together at the ends. This type of bridal tiara is seen as the most flexible of all the types as it can used like a princess headpiece or a headband on top of the head or as an accessory for a bun hairstyle.

V-bands. These are seen as the most restricting as they are only suitable to a specific type of face. As compared to other types of tiaras and crowns, these are placed on the forehead, accentuating the face more. This type of bridal tiara is most suitable for individuals with longer faces.

Bun Ring- bun rings and back pieces are both worn on the back and are commonly used with bun hairstyles. The difference is a bun ring is used with an up do while back pieces are for lower buns or hairstyles using a French twist. Usually, a bun ring is more elaborate while back pieces highlight the hairstyle but does not draw all of the attention towards the piece.
Back piece– Back pieces are tiaras worn at the back of the head, usually to accentuate a low bun or a French twist.

Comb- A tiara comb is a type of wedding tiara which can be attached to the hair with a comb. There are different types of wedding tiaras that are used to complement different hairstyles it looks like a comb but has the studs of rhinestones all around.

Finding just the right Tiara for you can be a difficult decision. What kind of Tiara should I get? How high should it be? Should it have pearls or just rhinestones? Should I get one with hearts or flowers? There are so many choices to make. Match the type of sparkle in the wedding gown to the tiara and veil.

For example, use crystal with crystals and pearls with pearls. If the gown has floral detail, look for a tiara with floral detail. A contemporary, straight gown would look best with a tiara with straight, geometric lines. If the dress has a rose pattern, a tiara with porcelain roses would be fine. A tiara with only Austrian crystals will go with any gown. A tiara with pearls should match either the gown or necklace. Peal tiaras go well with off white or ivory gowns. Wedding tiaras of today are easier to wear because they are made of lighter materials and variety of styles. Wedding tiaras symbolize hope, glamour and sophistication and will always make a woman feel like a princess. The best advice tip is to try on a variety of tiaras. This will give you different ideas for looks that might suit you best.

Tips for of picking the best Tiara for you.

Pick your gown first. The Tiara should compliment your gown not overwhelm it.

The Tiara should flatter your face. Work with your facial features to get the best look.

Round Face: Give your face a longer look by choosing a tiara with some height. Use one that peaks at the forehead.

Long Face: Choose a tiara with a little height or no height. Use one that extends across the head in an even height.

Oval face: Keep it low. Avoid a tiara with a peak. A peak will make your face appear longer.

Keep jewelry to a minimum. Each piece should work together to create a beautiful look. Be careful with earrings! If your tiara is elaborate, don’t wear large flashy earrings that will fight with the beauty of the tiara.

Pick a hairstyle that will enhance the look of your tiara and showoff your face.

Beautiful updo’s work great and add a touch of classic beauty to your look.
Scale is important. The more petite the bride, the smaller tiara and veil she should pick. There is nothing worse than a petite bride weighed down by a dress with a large train, huge tiara, and cathedral veil. A full circle veil that is shoulder or elbow length works nicely. The taller the bride, the more veil and tiara she can wear. A tall bride would look silly in a tiny tiara and little veil, unless she was going for a very pared-down look. The tiara must finish off your bridal veil, accentuate your hairstyle, frame your face and complement the wedding gown as well. But at the same time it shouldn’t be too big or extravagant so as to hide your hairstyle. Select your wedding tiara with care. It reflects your elegance, taste and adds the perfect finishing touch to your bridal ensemble.

One way to make your wedding day extra glamorous is to add a sparking tiara for your bridesmaid. Tiaras offer the most dramatic look. They are a gorgeous accent to any style gown, from simple and contemporary to ball gown traditional. Tiaras can be worn with or without a veil and are usually accented with Austrian crystals, rhinestones, Swarovski crystals, AB crystals, fresh water pearls, and faux pearls

Having your bridesmaid wear their own tiara is a great way to make her feel special. It adds a sense of style to your bridesmaid jewelry if you use more than one color. When selecting your bridesmaid tiara you need to consider her facial features. Balancing her face to the tiara is a very important aspect. Usually the bride selects a smaller tiara that is less elaborate.

There is a wide range of tiaras for sale today. These tiaras can be flat from side to side or have peaks at the center. The can be made of pearls, crystals, gold, or silver. Here are some suggestions you should follow before you purchase your bridesmaids tiara.

Gown Details

The gown should compliment and coordinate well with the wedding theme and not overpower the tiara. If you want a special colour crystal in your tiara to match the rest of your wedding day colour scheme always ask.

Budget

Cost is another factor for many brides who are looking for a little glitter in their wedding day jewelry. Precious and semi-precious stones and crystals can make the wedding budget over the top. Moderately priced quality rhinestone headpieces and tiaras look stunning while staying within budget.

Facial Outlook

A tiara should draw attention to your face by framing it, not draw attention away from it. The wrong shape tiara can make your face look too long and thin or too short and full.

Hairstyle

Tiara should be light and comfortable to wear. Decide upon your hair style for the day. Ideally , when you visit your hairdresser take your tiara with you. Your hair style and tiara should be one. Then if you are not happy you will have time to change it. They accent an upswept hairstyles as well as shorter hairstyles.

Exaggeration

The overall balance of your outfit should be such that no one piece overwhelms another. When you walk down the aisle, you don’t want to look like a bride with a tiara on, you want to look like a simple princess.

Remember it is your wedding and you are the most important person on the day. Make your tiara special. Do not perhaps choose the same tiara as your bridesmaids. Think of your wedding as a whole and make sure that all the elements complement each other.

Tiaras offer the most stunning look for any bride. They are a beautiful, delicate and add accent to any style dress, from simple and modern to traditional. You can wear your tiara with or without a veil, that comes down to personal preference and style of wedding. When worn correctly, they can look tasteful and timeless and of course, make you look just like the princess you have always wanted to be on your wedding day. When the right one is selected, it is unbelievable how the tiara can transform a simple wedding dress into a beautiful one. But before you go and simply pick any tiara which looks enticing on the shelf, remember that just like everything else about your wedding look, there are certain rules every bride needs to bear in mind when selecting her wedding tiara.
When choosing a bridal tiara you need to keep a few things in mind, the shape of your face should be the first thing you look at when trying on different styles of tiaras. A tiara should draw attention to your face by framing it but not over-powering, or drawing attention away from your face. Here’s a guideline to follow to help you better select the right tiara,

Choose a tiara according to your face shape. The wrong shape tiara can make your face look too long and thin or too short and full. Here is a guide:

Round face: To make your face appear longer, choose a tiara with some height or one that has a peak. A princess style tiara is perfect for this.

Long face: We recommend headbands or tiaras with little or no height that extend over your head from one side to the other at an even height.

Oval face: Avoid pieces with a peak at the top, which will make your face appear longer. Wearing a headband, forehead piece, or a back piece will make your face appear less oval.

Full face: To create the illusion of a longer face, wear a tiara that peaks into a “V” at the top.

It may be confusing at first trying to follow so many different rules, which is why the tiara should be one of the last few items to be selected. Once you have selected the dress, accessories and hairstyle you are going to go with on your wedding day, it is really not that difficult to know what to look for. Remember that everything about your ensemble should flow well together, creating a timeless, classy, elegant and sophisticated look. So have it down, know exactly what you want on your wedding day, how you want to look, what you are going to wear, what jewelry and hairstyle you want and you are well on your way to selecting a beautiful tiara for the finishing touch. Just be sure you don’t change your mind about anything halfway through!

Prom and Bridal Tiaras are one of the hottest hair accessories today. On the night of her prom, a girl deserves to feel like a princess and nothing helps make this happen better than a lovely prom tiara. Make the night last forever in a beautiful enchanting tiara to match her lovely gown.

Tiaras are some of the most beautifully crafted jewelry pieces of the past two centuries. Any woman who’s ever wanted to be queen for one day understands the appeal of the most magnificently impractical of accessories, the tiara. Once an aristocratic status symbol, more recently seen mainly in the bridal weddings, the tiara today is enjoying style renewed.

There is an endless selection of tiaras that range in size and complexity from small, simple headbands with a little bit of sparkle to huge and shining crowns that are fit for royalty.

A huge part of feeling like the prom is that night is making sure she has the right accents with real glamour. The secret to dressing successfully for the prom lies on the use of accessories. Wearing appropriate prom accessories can modify average outfits into fantastic outfits. However, every person has different tastes and preferences.

During the prom ball a king and queen is announced to wear the crowned jewel, so it is important for the prom queen to dress according to that attire in hopes that she is named and bears the touch of elegance on her head. If not named in court it is not uncommon to see girls wear the classic simple headband that is very pretty with out making an overstatement and keeping the princess look. The tiara headband can easily coordinate with any color wedding gown.

If you choose to wear a tiara, you’ll need to make sure that you practice your hairstyle with your tiara or that you take the tiara to the salon for a trial run. Prom night is a time you’ll remember for the rest of your life, so be sure to be prepared and don’t wait until the last minute to include a tiara as a part of your outfit.

Here are a few suggestions you should consider if you decide to grace your presence with a princess tiara

A tiara adds a lot of sparkle. That means you’ll need to be careful about the amount of flash in the rest of your outfit. Pairing a tiara with lots of glittery makeup or too much other jewelry makes the whole outfit look overdone.

Your tiara should not clash with your neckline. If your dress has a fussy neckline, opt for a simple tiara. Flashier tiaras should be reserved for a dress that has a simple neckline.

If you have your hair done before the prom, make sure that you wear a button-down shirt to the salon. There’s nothing worse than trying to pull a shirt off over your head without messing up your hair or pulling off your tiara.

A tiara is a classic look. Don’t try to pair it with a very modern dress. Keep your dress either simple with smooth lines (use any kind of tiara) or go for a real princess look. But don’t opt for a full-out crown with a frilly dress or your classmates will expect to see you holding a wand too.

First Communion is considered one of the holiest and most important occasions in a Roman Catholics life. Catholic children receive their First Communion when they’re seven or eight years of age because this is considered the age of reason. Others can receive communion for the first time whenever they’ve met all the Church’s requirements. First communion is a very special occasion for the entire family. A tiara or headband can be worn with or without a veil.
They are made of a variety of beautiful materials such as pearls, rhinestones, crystals and even set in real sterling silver.

They compliment hairstyles and are a fantastic addition to any adorned dress the girl should wear. Traditionally white and as simple or ornate as the parents and child choose, the hairstyle for little girls making their First Communion reacquires the same attention and thought as the dress. No matter what hairstyle you choose for your daughter’s First Communion Day, hair should be neat and well maintained to ensure that the significance and beauty of the occasion is acknowledged.

It’s best to have a hairstyle into which the tiara can be securely anchored. The most stable choice would be an up style. A partial up style is suitable if you want to show off the hair’s length. A good style for a young girl that will provide a stable base for a tiara to be secured is a partial french braid style.

Part the hair in the center and french braid the upper right and side back to the crown area. Next, french braid the upper left and side back to the crown area as well. You can join the two tails together and leave the length un-braided and curl the hair to blend with the rest of the hair at the back, or you can braid the sections fully to create long braided tails which can be wound together at the crown of the head and secured in place with hairpins to form a braided bun.

The remainder of the hair can be rolled in hair rollers to create a cascading fall of curls. If she is wearing her hair down then I would recommend that you place the tiara at a 45-degree angle to show off the tiara to the best effect.

An alternative to the tiara is a bun wrap which is a mini tiara designed to wrap around a bun. A First Holy Communion Tiara is an alternative look for little girls who prefer not to wear a First Holy Communion Veil, though it is equally as stunning and acceptable to wear both.
